April's Energy Smart tip of the month

Spring means getting back out in the yard and fixing up the landscape. One way of adding value to your home and saving energy at the same time is planting deciduous trees at strategic locations around your home.

Deciduous trees properly located can block much of the harsh sunlight from your home in the summer while allowing sunlight to warm your home in the winter. Mature trees also add great curb appeal to your home and can make it more attractive to buyers during resale.
